Hastelloy Fasteners Specification
Applications: Hastelloy Fasteners are used for chemical processing industries, aerospace industries, oil and gas industries etc.
Hastelloy B2 is a Nickel-molybdenum alloy with good resistance to reducing environments. Such as hydrogen chloride gas, sulfuric, acetic, and phosphoric acids, Alloy B2 should be used in oxidising media or where oxidising contaminants are available in reducing media. Premature failure may occur if B2 is used where iron and copper is present in a system containing hydrochloric acid. It shows very good resistance to pitting.
It covers Hastelloy b3 Forging. These are classified into different grades according to chemical composition. A chemical analysis shall be employed on each alloy in order to determine its chemical composition. Grain size and mechanical properties like tensile strength, yield strength and elongation shall be measured. A tension test and ultrasonic tests shall be done for each specimen. Hastelloy c-2000 covers low carbon Nickel chromium molybdenum and copper alloy with most versatile and and corrosion resistant alloy. It gives good resistance to corrosion to oxidizing and cracking while superior resistance to localized corrosion. They are widely used in chemical processing industries.
Hastelloy C22 Has better overall corrosion resistance other than Ni-cr-mo Alloys available today. It has very good resistance to oxidation in aqueous media including wet chlorine and mixtures containing nitric acid or oxidizing acids with chloride ions. It offers optimum resistance to environments where reducing and oxidizing conditions encounter in process streams. It can be used in multipurpose plant equipment’s.
Hastelloy C276 is a Nickel molybdenum chromium alloy with an addition of tungsten possess good corrosion resistance in various of extreme environments. The high molybdenum content makes the alloy resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Its low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to keep corrosion resistance in welded structures. Mostly used in pollution control chemical processing, pulp paper production and waste treatment.
