Duplex 2205 Set Screws manufactured at TorqBolt are resistant to corrosion with a combination of chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen to be used at temperatures below 600 degrees fahrenheit. .Dimensional standards as per DIN 913, DIN 914, DIN 915, DIN 916, DIN 551, DIN 553, DIN 438 and BS 4168 are provided.
The raw material of these fasteners is classified as Duplex Stainless Steel . Being a PED certified Fasteners Manufacturer by TUV Rheinland,our fasteners are accompanied with EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certification. Duplex 2205 Set Screws are available in hot forged,cold forged and bar stock machined conditions depending upon the order quantity.Alloy 2205 is a duplex (austenite-ferrite) stainless steel, which is 40-50% ferrite in annealed conditions. It has crevice cracking resistance even higher than those of 304, 316L 317L also it has yeild strengths higher or almosty double than those austenite steels. However, this steel cannot be used for temperatures above 600 Degrees ferrenheit. Some of its applications include pressure vessle tanks, pipping, heat exchangers in chemical Industry, paper industry, cargo tanks of shipping industries and mainly in biofuel plants.
