It has corrosion resiatnce to variety of corrsives including sulphuric, phospheric and nitric acids. It als shows excelent ductillity and impact strength at ambient and subzero temperatures. In marine applications it shows critical pitting temperature exceeeding 40Degrees celcious. It shows high resistance to abrasion, erosion and cavitation erosion. It is used in rudders, shafts seals, pumps, valves, oil and chemical tankers.
