aluminium 2024 is an Aluminium Manganese Copper Alloy with copper as a primary alloy element. Alloy 2024 is most renowned for excellent fatigue resistance with poor corrosion resistance and variably used in aerospace structures. With an average machinability alloy 2024 is weld able only through friction welding. Available in both annealed and temper conditions viz. O,T3,T4,T351.
