Flex lock nuts are the nuts are all metal prevailing torque lock nuts. They are good to resist against any shock or vibration. Structurally it is a hex nut with clylindrical top and has six narrow slots facing each other they are mostly used in aeronautical,automotive, Industrial and heavy suspension engine applications. there is a resistance to rotation during both assemby and disassembly. However, Flex lock nuts do not get permanantly locked in one place so that can be removed easily at later stage.
