Inconel 800 is A Nickel chromium alloy with good strength and better resistance to oxidation and carburisation in high temperature environments. It resists corossion by many aqueous environments. Alloy has a stable, austentic structure during prolonged exposure to higher temperatures. Mostly used for process piping, heat exchangers, craburizing equipment, heating element sheathing and nuclear steam-generator tubing.
